Crappy thing that I can’t finish

As she wiped the makeup off her face

She simultaneously emptied the contents of her psyche

No one had seen her barefaced (and bare-hearted)

He felt privileged

He felt her love as he examined every blemish, every scar, every discolored part

He ran his finger along her jawline

She pulled him closer, with tears flowing down

Begging him to make a promise that he would stay

He told her that nothing could keep him away
